Özet
he study aimed to explore teachers' perceptions of using interactive educational games to improve the learning process for elementary school students. The researchers employed a descriptive analytical approach to collect and analyze data through a questionnaire developed based on previous literature related to the topic. A simple random sample of 100 teachers was selected from elementary schools in the city of Aleppo, representing 0.85% of the total number of teachers in the city. The questionnaire consisted of 21 items distributed across three main areas: teachers' perceptions of interactive educational games, the impact of teachers' technological knowledge, and the effect of games on elementary school students. A five-point Likert scale was used to analyze the responses. The results showed that teachers' responses regarding interactive educational games ranged from moderate to high, with most teachers indicating that these games positively contribute to improving learning. The area with the highest rating was "The impact of educational games on elementary school students," with a mean score of 3.48. The study also revealed statistically significant differences in favor of female teachers compared to male teachers in all areas, as well as more positive perceptions among teachers with more than ten years of experience. Additionally, teachers with higher educational qualifications showed more favorable perceptions of the impact of interactive games. Based on these results, the researchers recommended raising awareness about the benefits of interactive educational games among teachers through awareness campaigns, providing advanced training courses in educational technology and interactive games, supporting teachers with less experience through workshops, and encouraging experienced teachers to share their experiences with others. The study also emphasized the need to intensify the use of interactive games in elementary education and to provide an integrated technological learning environment to support teachers and develop educational game tools.
