Özet
The current study seeks to identify the role of social networking sites for educational media in providing the teaching staff with information and news. In order to achieve the objectives of the current study, the researcher followed the descriptive survey method by defining the research community represented by the teaching staff in Baghdad, and a research sample represented by (150) individuals. According to a set of demographic variables, and to reach the objectives of the current study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire to measure the role of social networking sites for educational media in providing the teaching staff with information and news, and extracted a set of psychometric characteristics of honesty and stability, and after applying the questionnaire, the study reached a set of results: 1. There is a special importance for the use of social networking sites in educational media due to the spread of these sites and their use in various areas of life. 2. Through the educational media that uses social networking sites in its work, many problems can be easily solved by activating communication between educational leaders and the teaching staff. 3. It is possible that the employment of social networking sites in educational media will affect the teaching performance 4. Social networking sites in educational media contribute to raising themotivation of teachers about the transition to the centralization of the learner in the educational process. 5. The teaching staff will get acquainted with information and news related to modern teaching methods and strategies in the field of specialization 6. Despite the advantages of introducing social networking sites for educational media, there are difficulties related to the power of the Internet, as well as the tendencies of the teaching staff to attend seminars and educational workshops through the virtual world.
