prominent features of social education for John Dewey,
including that the educational curricula seek to present the
aspects of social life, not to be a mere narration of events,
and that the function of education in the school is to make
change. In addition, education is both psychological and
social, as it seeks to prepare the individual to be a valid
member of the society in which he lives.
