Abstract
THE DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO WOMAN’S WITNESSİNG IN CONTEXT ISLAMIC LAW
Witnessing is a subject about which all law systems are conserned. Islamic did not ignore that field. Morever, the verse of Koran (al-Bakara, 2/282) which is about witnessing is the longest verse. The issue of witnessing of woman in Islamic law is interpreted as woman’s becoming of secondary importance by some people. Beside, giving the woman the right of interfering to every field. Islam also accepted teh witnessing of a woman owning wisdom, justica and memory. Besides a woman is not seen as an object coming after man. On the contrary, Holy Aisha whose interprations an determinations were assessed in that context, corrected the Prophet Mohammad’s words that were misunderstood by the companion of Prophet Mohammad. In this study the nature of women, the statue of woman is different communities in history, the issue of two women’s ekuaaling to one man the witnessing of women in different subjects will be investigated.
