Abstract
AN ANALYSIS OF POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION THESES ON LITERACY SKILLS RELATED TO POLITICAL SOCIALIZATION
The social life and socialization feature, which are deemed necessary for the existence of human beings or to maintain their existence in a healthy harmony, have led to the emergence of a skill called political socialization with the individual's involvement in political processes. In order to understand and comprehend political socialization, it is necessary to have some literacy skills. For this purpose, it is important to recognize the legal, political and critical literacy skills that are known to have an impact on political socialization. In this research, it is aimed to examine the theses on these skills, which have an impact on the formation of political socialization, in terms of the determined basic criteria. The study group of the research, which was carried out with the document analysis technique in the qualitative method, consists of a total of 17 postgraduate education theses on law, political and critical literacy, which are accessible at the National Thesis Center of YÖK. The findings of the data obtained within the scope of political socialization are presented in the findings section in the form of frequency and percentage. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that the thesis studies on political literacy and legal literacy are few in number, the thesis studies on literacy skills have started to increase in recent years, the aim of the research is generally level determination, and the pattern and method used vary depending on the purpose of the research.
