Abstract


ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS OF MATHEMATICS TEACHERS WORKING IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS AGAINST NEW GENERATION MATHEMATICS QUESTIONS
At a time when knowledge and skill play a very important role in modernization, it is possible by giving the necessary importance to the science of mathematics, which is taken from individuals who research and question more instead of memorizing knowledge. For this reason, a mathematics education program update has been heard in order to raise children who can use and apply what is learned through teaching mathematics in the necessary disciplines and fields in daily life and keep up with the times. The aim of the examination in the structured primary schools is to reveal the teacher's point of view about the attitude and evaluation towards new generation mathematics questions. In addition, it will be emphasized that it is important to raise what they will do in managerial strategies in order for mathematics to be loved by students and to be successful. The place of the traditional TEOG exam, such as the pass, has a new exam system as LGS. Therefore, this operation is aimed to evaluate LGS mathematics questions, which are specified as a new generation question, with a focus on teacher's opinion. For this reason, this structured study was carried out with a qualitative descriptive study aiming to determine the evaluation of LGS new generation mathematics questions in a secondary school mathematics course. This study is carried out with 15 judge mathematics teachers working in different public schools. In order to eliminate this trend, the semi-obtained interview formula was used. The interviews were conducted face-to-face with the teacher and by the researcher who was involved in the same investigations. Examining with this study, how the new generation questions in LGS will make them comprehend in the field of metacognitive requirements such as reading comprehension, analytical thinking, interpretation and application, they will not have the path they will follow while solving the questions and conveying what has been learned.
