Abstract

Vocational Internship Assessment Scale Validity Relıability Study
The aim of the research is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool for the evaluation of vocational internship practices. The measurement tool was developed to evaluate the internship applications of the students who participated in the vocational internship applications. In order to ensure the content validity of the scale item pool created in this context, opinions of three field experts were taken and the final 48-item form was revealed. Within the scope of the pre-application of the scale development study, data were collected with a measurement tool consisting of 48 items. The study group of the research consists of 882 university students studying in 13 different departments at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2021-2022. In order to ensure the construct validity of the developed scale, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes were applied. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was carried out using SPSS AMOS program. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis performed to test the construct validity, it was determined that the measurement tool consisted of 23 items and 5 sub-dimensions. The sub-dimensions of the measurement tool were named as "internship and future expectation", "ideal internship", "internship practices quality", "internship expectations", "internship work relationship". All of the scale items explain 51% of the total variance. In order to test the reliability of the scale, the internal consistency coefficient was calculated and found to be α=.883. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analyzes carried out, it has been determined that the measurement tool developed to evaluate the vocational internship practices is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
