Abstract

JUSTICE PARTY IN TERMS OF BIRTH THEORIES, PARTY TYPOLOGIES AND INSTITUTIONALIZATION APPROACH
With the first military coup in the history of the Republic of Turkey (May 27, 1960), the democratic political system was interrupted in a short time. After holding the administration for about twenty-one months, the army allowed the establishment of parties and the Justice Party was established. The Justice Party is an important party in Turkish political life in terms of being the first (right) party founded after May 27, taking part in the first coalition government, coming to power twice and being in the main opposition twice. The main objective of this study is to assess which theory of birth the Justice Party falls under, to which of the party typologies it is closer and what degree of institutionalization it is. While conducting these studies, generally accepted theories, typologies and criteria were used. In the study, first of all, general information about the Justice Party is given, and then typologies and criteria are given. In the light of this information, the Justice Party was evaluated.
