Agriculture in Turkey in the period up to the present from the founding of the Republic, ensuring economic growth is considered as an important sector. But Turkey compared with many developed countries in the agricultural sector Turkey is seen as lagging behind in these countries. The reason for this situation is the increase in the proportion of agricultural products in developed countries in proportion to technology and that these countries are very successful in achieving efficiency as a result of implementing appropriate agricultural support policies. However, compared with developed countries, Turkey in the country before the republic, wars and subsequent years, as a result of many crises in the agricultural sector has not been successful enough. For the purpose of government to reduce this negative situation and improve the economy, starting with post-republic period and in the continuing it included agricultural support policies in economic policies.
