THE EFFECT OF LEARNING BASED ON THE LEARNER IN THE ACHIEVEMENT AND SCIENTIFIC THINKING OF THE FIRST GRADE STUDENTS IN THE MEDIUM OF THE PRINCIPLES OF BIOLOGY
The aim of the research is to identify the effect of learning based on the learner in the achievement and scientific thinking of the first grade students in the medium of the principles of biology. To achieve the goal, the researcher has developed the following two zero hypotheses: 1. There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) in the achievement of the students who studied the learning model based on the learner and who studied without a model. 2. There is no difference with statistical significance at the level of significance (0.05) in the level of scientific thinking among students who studied the model of learning based on the learner and those who studied without a model. The study was limited to the students of the first grade intermediate Fatima secondary school for girls in the district of Baquba, belonging to the Department of Education Diyala and the second semester of the academic year (2016-1017) and the last four chapters of the book of principles of biology for the first grade intermediate. The sample consisted of (57) female students representing (25) students, including the experimental group (32) control group, was rewarded between the two groups with the age of time in months and the previous achievement in science and the variable of intelligence. The research tools were a test of achievement in the biology articles developed by the researcher and the test of the scientific thinking scale adopted by the researcher, and reached the following: 1. The experimental group that studied the learner-based learning model was superior to the control group in the achievement test 2. The experimental group is superior to the control group in the scientific thinking scale test. The researcher presented a number of recommendations and suggestions to complete her research.
