MEASURING ECONOMIC WELL-BEING USING STATISTICAL INDICATORS IN THE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS OF THE NEW BAGHDAD SUB-DISTRICT IN THE NEW BAGHDAD DISTRICT
The study aims to study (measuring economic well-being in the neighborhoods of the New Baghdad district using statistical indicators), in order to identify the relationship between the economic situation of the population and the achievement of population welfare indicators. The study relied on the field survey for the purpose of obtaining its data, including: the field survey data in the sampling method, represented by the distribution of the questionnaire, which included eight neighborhoods, namely (Al-Khaleej neighborhood, 9-Nissan neighborhood, Al-Muthanna neighborhood, Sumer neighborhood, Al-Amin neighborhood, and Akkad neighborhood, Al-Khansa neighborhood and Al-Mamoun neighborhood) and according to the equation of the study sample, (466) questionnaire forms were distributed to the various residential neighborhoods. In addition, the study relied on a number of demographic and statistical methods, represented by the Pearson correlation coefficient, the Lorenz coefficient and the Chi test, and to control the results, the results were tested with the Sig statistical significance scale. The study concluded that high economic activity and monthly income is the main criterion for achieving economic well-being, according to the findings of the study. In the income index: the first ranks and categories of income were recorded the highest in the Muthanna neighborhood and the lowest in the Al-Mamoun neighborhood, and in the education index: the relationship between income and spending was determined On education, it depends on its relationship between family income and spending on education, both governmental and private. In the health index: it was found that the highest-income category, the preferences for reviewing when sick, were within this category primarily for private outpatient clinics for doctors, followed by private hospitals. Sometimes there is no savings. The study showed through the results of the statistical analysis of the data of the field study by testing the validity of the hypotheses, and the study revealed the emergence of a new variable that can be added to the pillars of measuring economic well-being, which is the consumer spending index, which includes food, drink and consumer goods for the family.
