THE FORMATION OF KAZIM KARABEKIR'S WORLD OF THOUGHT IN THE LIGHT OF THE MEMORY BOOK "HAYATIM"
Kazım Karabekir, as a soldier and politician, is one of the important names in recent Turkish history. During his military career, he served in critical positions and made great contributions to the national struggle. It is also important for a person who played such an active role in our history to keep a diary continuously from his secondary school years until his death, in terms of shedding light on the period in which he lived. In this research, it is aimed to examine the memoir called "My Life" in terms of the formation of Kazım Karabekir's world of thought, his military and political activities and his special sensitivity to the poem "I am a Turk". In the research, the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used, and the obtained data were analyzed through descriptive analysis. The work studied in the research is Kazım Karabekir's memoir called My Life. In the book, the life of the author between 1882-1907 is described. This period covers the period from his birth to his two-year tenure in the Third Army, when he was appointed staff captain. The book has been examined in terms of Karabekir's student years, cultural nutrition sources, the formation of his world of thought, military and political activities. Karabekir in his secondary school years; He is a child who reads a lot of books, has adopted the ideology of Turkism, is strongly against the tyranny, is aware of the Committee of Union and Progress. He is thinking of dethroning Abdülhamit. As a result of the examination, it was seen that Karabekir achieved each of these goals that he had planned in his secondary school years with perseverance and determination.
