Abstract
A STUDY IN TERMS OF INTERDISCIPLINARY ASSOCIATION OF SECONDARY EDUCATION MATHEMATİCS TEXTBOOKS
The aim of this study is to examine the relevance of the content of high school mathematics textbooks prepared in accordance with the secondary school mathematics program renewed in 2013 to other disciplines. In this study which was prepared according to the descriptive scanning model, document analysis method was used in qualitative research methods. The material of the study is six course books approved by Board of Education (TTKB) in the Ministry of National Education (MEB), which was taught in the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth classes of the high school in 2016-2017 academic year. Data collection form developed by the researcher was used as data collection tool in the research. In the analysis of the data, the content analysis method was used and classified by encoding them as data, course, unit, subject and achievement. The frequency-percentage values of the findings and findings obtained by categorizing associations with other disciplines used in the textbooks are tabulated and given. At the end of the study, in the content of high school mathematics textbooks, the number of associations with other disciplines is sixty-five (f=65) and the number of disciplines associated is seven, with the most associated Physics (f = 33, %50,8) and the least associated Psychology, Traffic and First Aid (f = 1, %1,5) found in these disciplines.
