Abstract
IINVESTIGATION TO FEATURE OF GEOMORPHOLOGY OF THE LALE STREAM (YALOVA) BASIN’S USING ANALYSIS OF GEOMORPHOMETRIC
Emerging technological possibilities thanks to the possibilities brought about by digital topographic methods and geomorphometric studies conducted with fast, efficient analysis, objective results with greater contributions to the field of geomorphology. In this study, geomorphological structure, development and actors affecting the morphology and processes of Lale stream basin (Yalova) examined with digital topographic and with many different morphometric indices. For this feature examined, evaluated and analyze with using tecniques of GIS to were administered to morphometric indices. In this study of morphometric indices are may methods of linear, areal and relief morphometrics. Also geomorphometric analysıs of basin was using digital elevation model (DEM) to produced from 1/25000 maps of topographic and spatial analysis carried out DEM maps. According to analysis of geomorphometric, Lale stream basin is in the mature stage that in development of geomorphology to fluvial and tectonic factors have played an active role. However, there are differences in geomorphology development was determined by morphometric indices when basins separating to sub-basin. Geomorphologic elements to, delta, valleys, mountain, plateau, marine terrace, step and inclined of hillside with factor and process in the basin of Lale stream.
