Abstract
DETERMINATION OF THE SATISFACTION LEVELS OF "ERDEK TIME FESTIVAL" PARTICIPANTS IN TERMS OF BENEFITS PROVIDED BY EVENT TOURISM
Touristic destinations which are oriented towards event tourism gain a lot of benefits, especially in social, economic and cultural areas. Festivals where many different and unique events are performed together are of great importance in terms of development and sustainability of touristic destinations for these benefits provided by event tourism. In this study, "Erdek Time Festival" which was organized for the first time in Erdek between 22-27 August 2017 has been chosen as a research area. The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the benefits provided to Erdek in terms of social, cultural, economic and brand perceptions dimensions of Erdek Time Festival on participants' satisfaction levels. The data obtained by survey technique from the sample selected from the research population by convenience sampling method were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Research results provide significant implications for managers and local stakeholders who want to use event tourism as a destination development tool.
