Abstract
INVESTIGATION OF THE SENSTIVITY OF THE SUPERIOR AND SPECIAL TALENTED MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO ENVIROMENTAL PERCEPTIONS OF COLLECTİVE LIFE EXTINCTIONS
The catastrophe fact between these periods and geologic periods was viewed with liteature search. 5 big extination events and their reasons were revealed. These reosons could be a threat. And the most improved living, people, should see and try to block or delay these dangers but people are setting off these dangers. Our purpose was revealing the enviromental conscience of superior and special talented middle school students and viewing them with diffrent factors then see if these students are aware of that these dangers could be blocked or delayed by people.86 superior and special talented middle school students choosed with suitable illustration method. Convergent parallel design was used as the research design. the enviromental conscience questionnaire that had developed by Çabuk and Karacaoğlu in 2003 was used to collect quantitative datas and 6 open ended questions were used for qualitative datas. The questionnaire was analysed with statistics programme SPSS 22.Parametric tests were used because of normal distribution. After data analyse our working group’s enviromental consciences were viewed. And the open ended questions showed that the working group were not enough aware of earth’s past and living types. Expressing extination events and the danger of them for now could be didactic for students. Also doing nature activities and letting students to learn with living and making can augment their enviromental conscience. Making superior and special talented middle school students conscience about nature is so important because these students are so necessary to developing countries in the future.
