INVESTIGATION OF JOB ATTITUDES DIFFERENCES OF Y AND Z GENERATION EMPLOYEES: THE EXAMPLE OF TRC1 (GAZIANTEP, ADIYAMAN, KİLİS) ORGANIZED INDUSTRIAL REGIONS
Abstract Especially in recent years, changes in global demographics have led to both generational differences and changes in the job attitudes of employees. Employee's attitude toward job is one of the keys to the success of organizations. The key factor to achieve success and achieve goals is to understand, manage and direct business attitudes based on differences among generations. The aim of this research is to determine the differences in job attitudes of Y and Z generation employees in enterprises operating in Organized Industrial Regions in Gaziantep, Adıyaman and Kilis (TRC1 Region). In this context, data were collected through a survey on 720 employees in the TRC1 region. According to this, 72.6% of employees participating in the research are composed of Y generation and 27.4% of them are composed of Z generation. The youngest of Y generation is 22 years old in the business world, the eldest is 36 years old. However, it can be said that Z, the eldest 21 years old, took part in business world in the last few years. When the results of the analysis of job attitude differences of the employees of Y and Z generations participating in the survey are evaluated; There was no statistically significant difference between job attitudes toward the job of Y and Z employees, abstemious attitudes, competitive attitudes, innovative attitudes, process-oriented and job-oriented approaches and job attitudes that job description was sufficient in achieving job. However, a statistically significant difference was found between the Y and Z generations in terms of attitudes of "being result oriented", "respecting authority and rule", "working for a long time working faithfully at the workplace to advance career", "in search of different job" and "attainment of a large number of job changes in the short term".
