Abstract
USE OF THE WEB SITES IN THE POLITICAL COMMUNICATION FOR THE PUBLIC RELATIONS: AN ANALYSIS ON THE POLITICAL PARTIES
The development of technology has caused changes in every field, as well as in the field of communication, leading to radical changes and new possibilities. Traditional media tools used in communication have left their place to new communication means thanks to technology today. The development of web technology has provided many advantages to both website users and organizations in the current situation. Today, the two-way interaction and the possibilities provided by Web 2.0 make online communication; concepts such as time and space have propelled the second plan. Organizations and target groups are now able to perform all kinds of transactions online via web pages. Political parties also use their corporate web pages as an effective tool to publicize their activities related to the public, to incorporate their target groups into communication processes and to generate policies according to their feedback. The corporate web pages of the three parties, the AK Party, the CHP and the MHP, which have a parliamentary group in the investigation, will be evaluated through content analysis. The main research topics of the study are political parties' contents of web pages, recognition and publicity activities, ease of use, web page overview, press relations and communication categories.
