Abstract
THE TEACHING OF "ABSORPTION OF LIGHT" SUBJECT IN SEVENTH GRADE SCIENCE COURSE WITH EDUCATIONAL GAMES: COLOR GAME CASE
In this study an educational game was designed for teaching the subject of "Absorption of Light" of "Reflection and Absorption of Light in the Mirror" unit in seventh grade science curriculum. The educational game is thought to contribute to the teaching of this subject which has got abstract concepts that are widely used. The game was assessed by a semi-structured interview with three science teachers working in public schools. Following the evaluation with the teachers about the applicability of the game, it was applied to 14 students in the form of pairs game. After the application, the game was assessed by a semi-structured interview with two students playing the game. As a result, the educational game was found to be feasible in the teaching of “Absorption of Light" subject both in terms of students and teachers.
