Abstract
A QUALITATIVE STUDY ON PARENT REPRESENTATIVES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PARENT LEADERSHIP
The aim of this study is to examine the views of the parent representatives on the parent leadership and to give suggestions. Phenomenology, which is one of the qualitative research designs, has been used in the study. Research data has been obtained via semi-structured interview form from interviews with 10 parents whose children are studying in primary schools in Pendik and Kadıkoy provinces in Istanbul. The interviews have been executed by face to face. In the content analysis, "features of the parents leader," "role of parents leader" and "the participation of parents in the education process" themes have been reached. The content analysiz has been done with the NVivo 11 qualitative data analysis software.
