Abstract
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CRITICAL THINKING OF TURKISH LANGUAGE PRESERVICE TEACHERS THROUGH PROJECT BASED TEACHING
The purpose of this research is to reveal that how is the alternation and the progress before and after on the perspective of critical thinking and the project works of Turkish Language Preservice Teachers about what kind of administration they have done by looking at project based teaching. This research has been prepared as a qualitative one and the case method has been utilized. For the determination of the participant, sampling criteria has been preferred and these data has been collected by making interviews with the 15 students are Preservice Teachers of the 1st grade in Çukurova University Faculty of Education and Turkish Language Education, the answers of the interview questions has been analyzed by using content analysis method. As the result of the research, it is stated that the distinction of the Preservice Teachers’ opinions and their perspective on critical thinking before and after and also there is an increase in the number of the teachers who thought the things such as before critical thinking on the project work, to do some research, working in corporation with the group, making plan, getting cause and effect relationship, sensitivity to the social events and ability to identify problems. In addition, after the project works the whole teachers in the research stated that the process of the development of project can make a significant contribution on the skills of the language and also it is stated that it was required lots of effort on the process of project but this gave them happiness.
