Abstract
PEER RELATIONSHIPS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN ACCORDING TO TEACHERS' PERCEPTIONS
The aim of the study is to determine the peer relationships of preschool children according to the perceptions of their teachers. The study group of the research consisted of 344 preschool teachers working in public educational institutions in Büyükçekmece, Esenyurt and Beylikdüzü districts of Istanbul province and determined by convenience sampling method. The data of the study were collected through the Peer Relationships in Preschool Scale (Teacher Form) prepared by Kanmaz and Tezel Şahin (2022). Parametric analyses were applied to the normally distributed research data through SPSS software. The results obtained as a result of the analyses are as follows: Teachers' perceptions of peer relationships in preschool children are at medium level. There are differentiations in favour of female teachers in the gender variable, in favour of teachers aged 25-44 between teachers aged 25-44 and teachers younger than 25 in the age variable, and in favour of teachers older than 45 between teachers older than 45 and teachers younger than 25 in the age variable. In the education level variable of the teachers, it was seen that there were differences in favour of teachers with master's degree and above. There is no statistically significant effect of the variables of student age group and class size on teachers' perceptions
