WEB2.0 ARAÇLARININ AKADEMiK BAŞARIYA ETKiSi: ÖĞRETMEN GÖRÜŞLERi
In this study, the impact of using web 2.0 tools in their lessons by primary school teachers working in Ereğli district of Zonguldak Province on the academic success of low-achieving students was investigated with the aim of shedding light on studies on this subject and popularizing the use of web 2.0 tools. A qualitative study was conducted, and the data were obtained using a semi-structured interview form. A total of 10 classroom teachers participated in the research. According to the information provided by the classroom teachers in the interviews, it was stated that they use web 2.0 tools in every stage of their lessons and that the attention and motivation of low-achieving students towards the lesson increase when web 2.0 tools are used in the lessons. It was indicated that web 2.0 tools provide a multi-dimensional learning environment and increase the academic success resulting from individual differences among students. It was stated by the participating classroom teachers that the use of web 2.0 tools in lessons increases active participation, as well as interest and attention, particularly among low-achieving students; and contributes to the development of skills such as self-expression and self-confidence.
