Abstract
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN TRANSPORTED EDUCATION IN SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
In this study, certain results were obtained based on the opinions of teachers and administrators in order to examine the problems experienced in transportation education in secondary education institutions located in Kozlu District of Zonguldak Province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The data in the study was obtained using a semi-structured interview form. 7 teachers and 3 school administrators participated in the study.
According to the information provided by school administrators and teachers as a result of the interview, the vast majority emphasized that transportation education is necessary, while some argued that on-site education would be appropriate.
The majority of teachers and school administrators regarding the problems experienced in transportation services in transportation education; stated that the vehicles are old models, unsafe, and lack of supervision are the primary problems. In transportation education, the primary problems experienced regarding the duties and responsibilities of on-duty teachers are; excessive responsibility is given to on-duty teachers and communication problems experienced with drivers. The opinions of administrators and teachers regarding the lunch of students in transportation education; It is stated that the meals are of poor quality and unhealthy, the portions are small, cold and have little variety.
