Abstract
TRENDS IN POSTGRADUATE THESES ON WEB 2.0 TOOLS AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS IN TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The aim of the study was to determine the research trends of postgraduate theses on Web 2.0 tools and mobile applications in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language between 2003 and 2023. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The electronic documents of the theses on Web 2.0 tools and mobile applications in teaching Turkish as a foreign language were accessed through the official Website of YÖK National Thesis Centre, and the data collected from the accessible theses were analysed by descriptive content analysis. In the data analysis process, the theses were classified according to year, type, university, method, subject and Web 2.0 tools and mobile applications used. As a result of the research, it was concluded that 37 postgraduate theses were accessed, the most theses were prepared in 2019, master's theses outnumbered doctoral theses, theses were mostly produced at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, mixed methods were mostly preferred in theses, theses mostly dealt with the subject of Opinion-Attitude-Experience, and tools such as Wordwall, Digital Game and Storyjumper were mostly used in theses.
