In this study, the language and style of Rıfat Ilgaz’s "Bacaksız'ın Başından Geçenler" story series were examined in terms of suitability for children. The method used in the research was document analysis, evaluating the language, style, idioms, sentence structures, onomatopoeic words, slang usage, local expressions, poems, rhymes, curses, and spelling errors in the five works of the series according to children's comprehension and contextualization abilities. The document analysis revealed that Rıfat Ilgaz used a clear and understandable language and included elements that contribute to children's language development. Particularly, the frequent and correct use of idioms can help children understand language practices in real life. However, the presence of spelling errors in some works may cause problems in terms of children learning the correct use of language. While the frequent use of nicknames in the series showcases the richness of the language, it may also present negative examples. Rıfat Ilgaz's "Bacaksız'ın Başından Geçenler" story series is a valuable resource for children, reflecting the richness and diversity of language.
