Abstract
DEMONSTRATION OF TURKISH WORD DERIVATION WITH MOVING STAIRCASE MODEL
This study aims to show the priority and posteriority of derivational affixes in the depths of thought and the stages of word formation on a visual model with nuances and colors depending on the meaning in the sentence. According to the moving staircase material, there is a cause-and-effect relationship between the cultural structure and thought system of the Turkish nation and the Turkish language. The regularity in the structure of the Turkish language is so clear and precise that it can be illustrated with geometric shapes and models. With the moving staircase material, the root of the word is centered and the derivational suffixes on the root are shown on a visual model according to the meanings in the sentence, and the philosophy of thought that forms the language is observed in the formation stages of the words. The moving staircase model has been updated based on different levels and is designed as a visual model that can be utilized in teaching Turkish grammar.
