Abstract
EXAMINATION OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS’ VIEWS ON SCHOOL CLIMATE
With the research, it was tried to examine the views of preschool teachers about the school climate. Interviews were conducted with preschool teachers working in public and private independent kindergartens and kindergartens of different school types in Zonguldak. An interview form consisting of 15 questions was used as a data collection tool. The preschool teachers who participated in the research expressed their views on the factors that play a role in the formation of the school climate, their views on the creation of a positive school climate, and their views on the characteristics of the current school climate in their schools. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the majority of the teachers agreed on the factors that constitute the school climate, primarily the attitudes of the administrators and the interaction between the employees. Similarly, it was seen that the majority of the teachers participating in the research on the requirements for creating a positive school climate agreed on communication, effective leadership and management, cooperation, and physical conditions.
