Abstract
LOCALIZATION OF THE EDUCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ACCORDING TO THE OPINIONS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHERS
This study, which aims to determine the perception of indigenization in educational administration based on the views of school administrators and teachers, was conducted with the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of 200 teachers and school administrators working in Bağlar district of Diyarbakır province, who were determined using convenience sampling method and responded to the online survey. The data collected using the “Localization of Education Management System Scale” developed by Turhan (2020) were analyzed with the SPSS program. When the findings of the research were examined, it was found that administrators and teachers generally expressed opinions in favor of local administration; their perceptions of localization in the education management system were high at the level of “Agree” in the overall scale and its sub-dimensions; It was concluded that there was no statistically significant difference according to marital status, educational status, age, title and institution of employment, but there was a statistically significant difference according to gender and seniority variables, and it is recommended that the idea of decentralization of the education system in our country be put on the agenda again, to accelerate the necessary studies, to prepare the ground for effective interaction of internal and external stakeholders, to ensure open and democratic communication and to include the opinions of stakeholders.
