Abstract
EVALUATING THE LEVELS OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TEACHERS' OPINIONS
Educational institutions are important places where individuals acquire essential life skills and knowledge needed to sustain their presence within an organization with respect, love, and harmony. They are also significant in fostering empathy by nurturing an understanding of others. Educational institutions play a crucial role in bringing forth individuals' knowledge, needs, and abilities, and in developing their talents to create self-awareness. In this regard, educational institutions hold importance. Through the use of educational technologies, these institutions exert a definite influence over other systems that are utilized or will be utilized by society, meeting its needs effectively. The aim of this study is to examine the organizational commitment levels of teachers working in educational institutions in Karadeniz Ereğli District. In the research, semi-structured interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of 15 teachers working in secondary education institutions in the Black Sea Ereğli District of Zonguldak in the 2022-2023 academic year. The research data were collected between 08.11.2022 and 25.11.2022 in the educational institution where the educators were assigned in appropriate time periods. The data of the study were collected through semi-structured interview form and teacher personal information form. The data obtained were interpreted through descriptive analysis. In the research, the situations affecting the organizational commitment levels of teachers; The attitudes and behaviors of educational institution administrators towards teachers, their compatibility with their colleagues, and the sharing of authority in certain areas. It has been seen that the measures that educational institution administrators should take to increase teachers' organizational commitment levels are a fair distribution of tasks, a clear and understandable communication method, and the elimination of unnecessary workloads.
