Abstract

GOYA’NIN KAPRİÇYOLARI VE GROTESK KAVRAMI ÜZERİNE FELSEFİ BİR İNCELEME
From the first ages to the present and in the period we live in, the sources of artistic events are limited in terms of classical aesthetic understanding of the fears, excitements, fantasies of human beings, the effort to understand nature and self-knowledge, to overcome and reflect the traumas of the period in which they lived. In this respect, in the study; The importance and necessity of the concept of the grotesque, which seeks a place in art, the inability to grasp the complementary feature of the beautiful and the ugly as a whole, and the imposition of a duty on the artist to reflect only the beautiful constitute our main problems. In this respect, the images in the works of Francisco Goya, an important artist who lived at the beginning of the 19th century, were evaluated by examining them from a grotesque perspective. In the works of the artist, the causality of the grotesque images, especially scary, strange, writhing in pain, has been discussed. Classical artists who seek to reach the beautiful place the beauty in the center of the production of their works. This situation lasts until aesthetics becomes a science. When we look at the areas examined by aesthetics that examines sensitivity and senses, it is easily understood that grotesque elements are also included in these areas. Otherwise, the scope of aesthetics will be limited. Therefore, it is understood that concepts such as ugly, vulgar, strange, tragic, funny, good and bad as well as beauty have become an important criterion of aesthetics that examines the senses. Because these concepts fall into the realm of the senses as well as beauty.
