Abstract
ORTAOKUL ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ONLİNE OYUN BAĞIMLILIĞI DÜZEYLERİNİN FARKLI DEĞİŞKENLERE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ (GAZİANTEP İLİ ÖRNEĞİ)
Developing technology has both advantages and disadvantages. Among these negativities, it is possible to count online game addiction. Today, this addiction has become quite common. In this study, it was conducted to evaluate the online game addiction of students aged 11-14 and attending 3 public secondary schools operating in the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep in the 2022-2023 academic year in the context of some variables. Questionnaire method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The Internet Addiction Scale (Online Game Addiction Scale), which was adapted into Turkish by Kayri and Günüç (2009), was used. Explanatory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Frequency, Percentage, Independent Sample T-Test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Multivariate Linear Regression Analysis were performed on the obtained data. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference and correlation relationship between the scores obtained in the Online Game Addiction Scale and the sub-dimensions of the Online Game Addiction Scale and some independent variables. In addition, it was determined that some independent variables predicted the scores obtained in the Online Game Addiction Scale and the sub-dimensions of the Online Game Addiction Scale in a statistically significant way.
