Abstract
THE LEVEL OF TEACHERS' CYBERCHONDRY (ONLINE HEALTH SEARCH BEHAVIOR) AND AFFECTING FACTORS
The research, which was carried out to determine the level of cyberchondria of teachers and whether they differ according to demographic variables, was carried out with the screening model, one of the quantitative research methods. The research was carried out with 243 teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the province of Hatay in the 2021-2022 academic year and responding to the questionnaire. The data were collected by online method and analyzed with SPSS 22 analysis program because more samples could be reached and it was fast. Parametric tests such as t-test and ANOVA were used to determine that the data were normally distributed. According to the research findings, the cyberchondria level of the teachers was "moderate", the factors of gender, marital status, education level, age, education level, research methods used, duration of internet use, taking and using drugs outside of the doctor's advice, taking drugs from places other than pharmacies. It was concluded that the factors of chronic illness, examination, examination, benefiting from therapeutic interventions outside the health institution did not make a statistical difference on the level of cyberchondria.
