Abstract
KEMAL TAHIR NOVELS: PARENTS, CHILDREN HEROES AND EDUCATION
Kemal Tahir novels focus on individual development and criticize the country's educational system as well as offer solutions. The author isn’t critical to be destructive, rather through his novels he tries to offer solutions to a peculiar segment of Turkish society for educational and social development purposes. Kemal Tahir in his own unique way tries to use his writing as an educational device and he regards education as a cultural and social progression based an East-West conflict. He delves into this progression through the characters he created. Kemal Tahir novels’s purpose is to examine the present education system.
