Abstract
EVALUATION OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS' COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS: THE CASE OF ETIMESGUT DISTRICT OF ANKARA PROVINCE
With this research, it is aimed to determine the communication status of the teacher and the family during the preschool education process and the communication problems that teachers experience with families. The study group of the research consists of 10 teachers working in public preschool educational institutions in Etimesgut district of Ankara province in the 2021-2022 academic year. The teachers included in the study group were determined from among the volunteers and with an easily accessible sampling method. An interview form consisting of 6 open-ended questions created by the researcher was applied to the teachers. The data of the research were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. According to the teacher's opinion, when the communication problems between preschool teachers and parents are divided into categories, the category "problems arising from the family's environment" has the most problems with uneducated relatives, the category "problems from the economic situation" has the most communication problems in the category, in the category “problems arising from the physical conditions of the school”, the results of problems with the school’s lack of cleanliness and problems with the most working mothers in the category “mother’s working condition” and problems with the category “family education level” are the most related to the family’s lack of consciousness.
