Abstract

COMPARISON OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION PROCESSES IN TURKEY WITH G7 COUNTRIES
In this research, it was aimed to compare the schools in Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Japan, Canada, known as G7 countries, and Turkey in terms of non-formal education, and an analysis was made for this process. In the study, the qualitative design was conducted with document analysis and the literature review method was used. As a result, When the non-formal education systems in the G7 countries are examined, it has been concluded that the budget allocated to non-formal education in the USA, where the G7 countries attach significant importance to adult education and lifelong education activities, approaches the budget allocated to formal education. The biggest difference seen in the practices of Turkey and the G7 countries towards non-formal education is that there are differences in the guidance and guidance activities before the education and in the employment processes after the education. To increase the quality of non-formal education activities in Turkey, it is recommended to increase the incentives, to provide guidance and guidance services to the participants, and to organize the trainings according to the sector's needs.
