Abstract
PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' BEHAVIORS THAT ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO BE CREATIVE
What it would be like to gain and develop creative skills in individuals, especially in recent years, is the importance of creativity skills. It makes the competencies that teachers should have in this context more important, which will enable students to have these skills. Teachers' students have creative behavior and skills, which are among the general competencies required by the teaching profession. This research aims to determine the perceptions of elementary school teachers' perceptions of their students' creative behavior. The universe of the research is 326 teachers in primary schools in the Ordu province of Unye in 2021 2022 academic year. The sample consists of 186 teachers, calculated based on 0.5 confidence ranges and determined using the appropriate sampling method. The research uses the creativity-promoting Teacher Behaviors Index as a data collection tool. As a result of the analysis of the research data, it was concluded that teachers' students' creative behaviors were high. In addition, it has been determined that the levels of creativity-promoting behavior of teachers have not changed significantly depending on gender, graduation, vocational seniority and in-service training.
