Abstract
PHYSICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS THE APPLICABILITY OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS EXAMINATION OF VIEWS
The Research is aimed to investigate the Physical Education in Secondary Schools in the districts and province of Çanakkale and to investigate the level of applicability of the new Teaching Program aplicability and the views of the the Physical activities. This study, were applied on 16 females, 42 males (t = 58) physical education and sports teachers who were serving in secondary schools in Çanakkale province and districts of Biga, Gallipoli, Ezine and Küçükkuyu. The scanning design of the study, was that the data were collected throughout surveys. In this research for the purpose of investigating the teaching program of the pysical activities course Sirin and Ark. (2008) were concerned by the developement and in confirmation of the validity and reliability of the survey form and Erdoğdu, M., Öçalan, made any necessary corrections on the surveys to form a 39- items “ Teachers Survey Form”. The arithmetical average and the standard deviation values were used in the the analysis of the data. The findings obtained in the research shows that male teachers (T = 42), average age (X = 42.47, SS = 12.08). and Female teachers (t = 16), average age (X = 37.62, SS = 6.47). The average age of the total teachers was calculated as (X = 41.13, SD = 7.95). The findings; according to The physical education and sports women teachers and to the physical education and sports male teachers physical education program general aims, was found that it has a higher level of achievements, learning and teaching process,and in terms of dimensions of measurement and evaluation. Generally, the findings has sowed that the average of male teachers who were involved responded to the highest as "achievements" and the lowest dimensions is the "measurement and evaluation". The results of the research, it was concluded that the there is low level to the physical education program general aims, as achievements, learning and teaching process, the dimensions of measurement and evaluation. In other findings; according to The physical education and sports women teachers and to the physical education and sports male teachers physical education program general aims, was found that it has a higher level of achievements, learning and teaching process,and in terms of dimensions of measurement and evaluation.
