English education system with its relatively autonomous local government and educational organizations has a more flexible and individualized structure; whereas in Turkey there is a more centralist education system which is confined to definite patterns. In England although there are ministries in charge of education, they do not have as much bureaucracy and a strict hierarchical structure as in Turkey. In England there is a more horizontal structuring. In Turkey when the curriculum is examined, the content and the process build upon intensive information transfer. However, in England there is a lighter curriculum in terms of information loading to the students which prioritizes visuality and skills building and increases creativity.
