Abstract
THE IMITATIONAL FAITH ACCORDING TO ISLAM
This article entitled “the imitational faith according to Islam" has two main sections and a conclusion. In the first section, which etymological analysis is made, the term and glossary meaning of imitation (taqlid) is given and its place in the Quran and the Hadith is focused. In the second section entitled "Imitational Faith According to Theological Sects” views of Ahl al-Sunna denominations such as Salafiyya, Ashariyya, Maturidiyya and views of non-Sunni denominations such as Shia, Mutaziliyya and Kharijiyya are discussed. In the conclusion, the outcomes of the research are presented. It is hoped that an important gap will be fill with new perspectives in the area of Islamic Theology, which is not focused enough previously.
