Abstract
CULTURAL TRANSFER IN TURKISH TEACHING BOOKS AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: EXAMPLE OF ‘'SALIH HIKÂYE SERIES'
Learning a language means learning the culture of that language. Learning a foreign language is provided not only by acquiring the grammar rules, words and basic skills of that language, but by assimilating and learning the culture of that language. For this purpose, language and culture are inseparable. It is very important to learn the cultural elements of that country in order to better master the language learned. Language and culture are an inseparable whole.
In the study, 10 books of the "Salih Story Series" used to teach Turkish in harmony classes were examined in terms of the transfer of cultural elements. As a result of the study, a content analysis method it was understood that cultural elements should be used more for both visual and transfer purposes.
