Abstract
TRABZON ŞEHRİNİN GASTRONOMİ TURİZMİ GELİŞMİŞLİK GÖSTERGELERİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ
This research was carried out in order to raise awareness about gastronomy tourism, to determine the level of gastronomy tourism development criteria of the province of Trabzon, which has many local flavors, to reveal the potential of gastronomy city, to make suggestions on this issue and to offer strategies for the development of gastronomy tourism. In this direction, the research was conducted in the province of Trabzon, with a total of 109 people, who are knowledgeable in the field of gastronomy and working in these fields, consisting of cooks, food and beverage managers, academicians, business managers, guides, business owners, travel consultants and journalists, who voluntarily accepted to participate in the research. The research was conducted in December 2019-February 2020. Gender, age, education level, profession and professional experience were obtained from the people participating in the study. In addition, information was collected from these experts in the field using the "Gastronomy Tourism Development Indicators Measures". As a result of the research, it was determined that the participants stated that "Entertainment and Brochures for Gastronomy Tourists" Supply Opportunities of Gastronomic Products "Local Promotion Activities and Presentation Style" "Local Promotion Adequacy" factors were insufficient. Accordingly, it was concluded that the city of Trabzon should make the necessary improvements and initiatives based on the gastronomy tourism development criteria.
