Abstract


ASSESSMENT OF THE OPINIONS OF THE GUIDANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING TEACHER CANDIDATES ON INCLUSION EDUCATION
The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of teacher candidates who receive guidance and psychological counseling training on inclusive education. For this purpose, the 20-item Likert-type questionnaire, which was prepared with the scanning model, one of the quantitative research methods, was applied to the participants that constitute the research population. Participants constitute 101 teacher candidates, 57 female and 44 male, studying at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades of the Caucasus University education faculty guidance and psychological counseling in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. The research data were collected with the views on mainstreaming scale, which was adapted to Turkish. In order to collect the data, personal data were obtained with the additions to the scale of opinions on inclusive education. Analyzes made as a result of data collection were found using SPSS package program. The opinions of the pre-service teachers participating in the study on inclusive education were found with the opinions on inclusive education scale and compared with parametric tests. As a result of the research, it was found that the opinions of the teacher candidates participating in the study on inclusive education did not differ significantly according to gender, the class they were educated and the school they graduated from; It has been determined that it differs according to the status of being a student taking mainstreaming education in the immediate environment. Various suggestions have been made based on the research conducted.
