Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS' MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY AND THE POLITICAL TACTICS THEY USE
The purpose of this research is to reveal the relationship between the school administrators' philosophy of management and the political tactics they use. In the study, 420 teachers from central districts in Denizli were reached by using the relational screening model and simple random sampling method. Data in the study were collected by "Personal Information Form", "Political Tactics Scale" and "Management Philosophy Scale". In the analysis of the data, independent sample t test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson moments multiplication correlation tests, Mann Whitney u test, kruskal wallis h test were used; Spearman's rho correlation tests and simple linear regression analysis were used to determine relationships. As a result of the analysis, it was found that school administrators were closer to the Y theory philosophy according to the perceptions of teachers. On the other hand, according to the perceptions of teachers, it was concluded that the school administrators' political tactical behaviors were low. It has been observed that the relationship between their management philosophy and the political tactics they use is moderately-negative. At the same time, it was concluded that the management philosophy of school administrators was a significant predictor of the political tactics they used.
