Abstract
MUSTAFA NECATİ SEPETÇİOĞLU'S OPINIONS OF TURKISH STORYTELLING AND STORYTELLERS
Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu (1932-2006) has became one of the most produetive writers in modern Turkish literature. Mostly known with his historical novels Sepetçioğlu has been firstly known in the world of the literature with his stories, which he started to write before 1950s. İn addition to the novel and story, he also wrote up many works in the types of epics, theatres, essays. He also expressed his views about Turkish stories and storytellers in his essays and reviews. Published in the magazine of Turkish Art in 1954, the feuilleton titled "Turkish storytelling and storytellers" is remarkable in terms of reflecting the thoughts of Sepetçioğlu as a whole. İn this study, based on the feuilleton given its name before the views of Sepetçioğlu about Turkish storytelling and storytellers are evaluated. The purpose is to see his reviews about the literary work which a writer wrote.
