Abstract
URFA SHARIA COURT REGISTRY BOOK NUMBER 215 AND SUBJECT INDEX H. 1320-1324 (1902-1906)
One of the primary resources of Ottoman history and civilization is the registry books which are sharia court records. These registry books are important information resources both for the operation of Ottoman law and for the local region which they belong to. Studies based on mentioned resources do not only demonstrate the legal and administrative structure of Ottoman state better, but they also enrich the local history studies. In this regard, examination and promotion of the sharia court registries has a great importance in terms of the contribution to the studies in this area.
In this study, registry book number 215 which contains the records of Urfa kadi court between the years of 1320-1324 (1902-1906) is investigated and promoted. After giving a brief information about the Urfa registry books and the registry book number 215, the documents in the registry book are listed succinctly.
