Sheikhulislams and muftis of Ottoman their fatwas was also given as poetry and this application an original genre has been added to Turkish literature. Fatwa word, comes from the root feta in the brave, young, strong sense and it’s solution with a strong answer to a difficult problem. In the Ottoman Empire, fatwas were given by the sheikhulislam in the center and by the muftis who were working as an officer of this institution in the provinces. Since a difficult issue with fatwa was solved by researching its sources, many titles such as 'halâl-ı muckilât, ukde-güşâ' were used for the sheikh al-Islam or the muftis. In the Ottoman Empire, fatwas were generally given in Turkish and prose, and a small amount was given as poetry. In the middle of the 16th century, poetic fatwas, which were given by the Sheikh-ul-islams who were famous for their poets, such as Kemalpashazade, Sadullah Sadi Çelebi and Ebussuud Efendi, gradually became widespread and became a tradition, and at the end of the century even turned into a family tradition, as in the case of Hocazades. Sa'dî Çelebi was one of the first names of the verse fatwa tradition in the Ottoman Empire, and we previously introduced two verse fatwas. As our research continues, other verse fatwas have emerged, this study has been done to introduce them.
