Abstract


INVESTIGATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN'S STORY BOOKS COMPATIBLE WITH VISUAL DESIGN PRINCIPLES
In this study, it is aimed to examine the story books of preschool children in terms of compliance with the principles of visual design. The universe of the research, which is a screening model, is the storybooks of the preschool period, which is in accordance with the Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Board of Education of the Republic of Turkey. The "scale of compliance with visual design principles" was used in the study. The scale consists of three lichens. The scales rating 'Yes' option is calculated as 2 points, 'Partially' option 1 point and 'No' option 0 points. In this study, it is aimed to examine the story books of preschool children in terms of compliance with the principles of visual design. The data obtained in the study were rated between 1 and 10. According to the conclusion of the investigation; When the average of the points received from 3 proficients of books was taken, the highest rate in general scores was "Father's Advice" with 7.4, followed by the book "Let's Sew Stitch" with a rate of 7.3. Top 3. The rate is "For You". According to the general score average of proficients, the lowest rate was 6.1 and the "Cicada and Ant" storybook was obtained.
