Abstract
INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' TENDENCIES FOR TECHNOLOGY USE IN COURSE AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS MOBILE LEARNING
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the university students’ tendency technology use in lesson and mobile learning. The study was conducted with 329 students studying at a public university in the Mediterranean region. This study is a study of relational screening model. Mobile learning attitude scale developed by Çelik (2013) and tendency scale for technology use in course developed by Günüç (2013) were used to collect data. Pearson correlation, simple linear regression and chi-square analysis were used for data analysis. According to the results of the study; It is concluded that there is a middle level, positive way, significant relationship between the attitudes of university students towards technology use and their attitudes towards mobile learning. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the tendency of university students to use technology in the course explained 34.1% of the variance in their attitudes towards mobile learning. In addition, students were found that there was no significant relationship between the frequency of smart phone daily checking and gender, and there was a significant relationship between the frequency of smart phone daily checking and smart phone use time.
