Abstract
AN ANALYSIS OF SUSANNA TAMARO'S TRANSLATION NOVELS IN TERMS OF FIVE FACTOR THEORY
Family is the smallest part of the communi. While the individual inherits many features from the family through genetics, it takes some of its characteristics from the environment. This environment is mostly a family where the individual has spent most of his time and his influence is influenced by his growing personality. Many decisions about the child are right or wrong until they are an adult. Although there are many factors in family decision making, one of the most important is the attitudes of the family. The most important factor in the formation of these attitudes is personality traits. Of course, there are different types of classifications on different sources of personality traits and family attitudes.
In this article, five factor personality models and their reflection on family attitudes are discussed. In this article, the translation novels of Susanna Tamaro theory “Tombul Yürek” roman and”Tobia and Melek Mak were examined in terms of five factor theory. According to the results of the study, the factors mentioned in the theory were found in both works. The reflection of the principles of extraversion, responsibility, compliance and openness from the five-factor personality traits to the child was positive and the reflection of the neuroticism principle to the child was negative.
